Q9. Final question: What else is important about multicloud – what else should companies be aware of?

Chris Ehrlich
A9: Multicloud’s rapid growth will deepen globalism.

BMC Software
A9: You can outsource your infrastructure or even your applications but ultimately you cannot delegate responsibility for how #IT meets your business needs.

James Maguire
@Chris_Ehrlich Fascinating, and I agree.
Bernard Golden
@Chris_Ehrlich A9: I would reverse order of your statement. Globalism, esp among multinational users, will drive multi-cloud adoption. Those are the companies that most need to solve consistent operations, security, reporting, etc.

If you are not multicloud, you are all-in, choose wisely

Michael Liebow
Disagree. Trend is away from globalism. Hyperscalers are investing in hyperlocal. Sovereignty is a big issue for some regions, yet the premium to be sovereign is untested.

Ramesh Prabagaran
First question would be - am I multicloud by choice, or by operating reality. If by choice, establish governance, policy, metrics ... if its by operating reality - learn whats driving this and implement appropriate levels of control (there's no one size fits all)

Michael Liebow
Companies need to focus on their people. Re-skill. Re-model. Re-tool. Golden opportunity to reinvent themselves in the face of significant disruption. Now. Not in a few years.

James Maguire
@cloudDay_2 Yes: "Companies need to focus on their people"

Ramesh Prabagaran
Also companies needed to deepen their talent pool in this area.
