Nice. He's talking about how the system handles latency (plus the demos shown are pretty neat) I was listening and glanced over, and the US map was a good distance visual.

Now as @furrier is pointing out - continuous availability is the cousin of H/A and a smaller %age of the mkt will need that - perhaps 10%?

There is the availability. How is the security?

"Continuous availability" is like extreme distance RAID for computation and data -- since all the nodes are the same losing one means the computation can just ask a different one. Looks good for disaster recovery.

Does this then eliminate the need for backup? And what is acdtually transferring. Certainly not Pbytes of data.

You need to open the funnel for new ideas. You need to have thousands of ideas and quickly get to the bottom of which have the greatest chance of success. It is how to iterate and try out new ideas.
