@NigelBarron exactly.. but you did it because of your own interest... companies need to state what they're interested in investing e.g. their strategy so that people can align in the center and the 1degrees ahead, and sideways to drive the value chain

upgrading your self starts with true curiosity, not sure if that can be tought... should be in your DNA ... or can you inspire people to be more curious?

@Spithout Can be taught if we can make a passion for people, they have to want to learn for themselves. We've spent ages working with clients on ways to promote this change

making a passsion for people is no easy task, what kind of things would you do to light the fire in people?

@Spithout we always start with them as humans first and employees second. Train for sensing about something they are 'actually' interested in. Get the nudge behaviors going then show them utility in shared learning around a work topic

Going back to Don Draper, Fay tells Don that they're working towards the same ends--to resolve every person’s deepest conflict. Which is? Don asks. “It all comes down to what I want versus what’s expected of me.”

And the trick is to line that up, make what the employee wants synonymous with what's expected.

Agreed...also we have found alignment with University programs to mentor and solicit opinions can help drive a culture of that embraces changing toolsets more rapidly.

The outsourcing of coding is also happening to talent. Whole teams of externals being contracted in by the drink!!! Talent Management is key to success here!

We use SocialScore app to keep a leaderboard of people we are interested in. If you are living in an Outside-In world it is YOUR responsibility to show up well. If you don't then you don't care and don't try to sell me that you are an 'expert'

@GlenPRobinson ecosystems are key... they, if operating at some value equilibrium (eg. win/win/win) - tend to accelerate

before you do that, you have to understand 'why'. Some things cannot be solved proactively, and besides that, you have to be sure your actions fry biggest possible fish.
