I think as interactions with technology infrastructure begin to trend toward the programmatic, i wonder how important a vendor relationship will continue to be versus the relationship with a homogenous service (API) stack...
It seems that we will need to get to much higher levels of standardization before we can get to higher levels of automation. We need some guidance from the ISO to establish standards otherwise vendor lock in will be created out of automation integration.
