need to start tracking the feature utilization on the feature that is rolled out.Without tracking the utilization and keep investing on a feature that is dormant is a over head and loss the competition in the market. Need to move towards data driven feature development

@vishnube Need to use same standards as the 3 Horizons! Innovation should be supported by data, be prepared to throw out 50-70% of the new ideas you develop, keep a list in case they come back up when needs change

@anuragthoughts Hardest part of DevOps is understanding your value, drive development with experimentation, small models show where value increases, or decreases, and allow objective decisions

Integration, execution, and feedback. Delivering telemetry everywhere to make better choices about development and environments

with pandemic, effective decision making has become challenge due to ppl working in remote , it leads to multiple meetings and it takes time to make a call.

• Collaboration we mainly focus on internal collaboration but ignore external collaboration. There is significant value in bringing industry partners, customers and even competitors to drive innovation

Before Pandemic, ppl were working in a one office or room where they can remove roadblocks over a coffee and it's not the case any more.

@vishnube Have to be willing to pick up the phone to resolve roadblocks. Teleworking problem is too many in the meeting not too few - exceeds the two pizza rule

Innovation in DevOps is continuous but lately being driven by the pandemic. Business is being drastically affected which has a direct affect on the IT services required.

@TinyCyber Yes directed innovation is however driven by business needs which are not linear. Think of the food industry challenges lately, or schooling for children etc. These needs are testing scalability of many solutions.

@WSzepesi Agreed, scalability is part of solution. Physical innovation talks back to physical constraints, lean manufacturing and the Andon cord. Schooling has had months to consider issues.
