Thanks organizing team, it was great experience and learning

RPA, AI / ML and IoT and Industry 4.0 (mainly for Manufacturing Industry) #India_RealTransformation

(1/2) Autonomous bots will have an immediate impact on business & as technology advances on society as well. Enterprise architecture will need to actively plan to integrate this trend as part of the roadmap. #India_RealTransformation

@dellemcindia (2/2) This combined with augmented analytics which automates activities like data cleaning and providing self-service visual discovery should be a game changer. #India_RealTransformation

The explosion in the use of digital technologies is changing the dynamics of competition in many industries. But digital business transformation (DBT) is about more than an increased use of devices and software, or going paperless. It is also about the organization.

What are the skill sets of modern day CIO?

(1/3) All emerging technologies are game changer in their respective business case. The world of BOTs is doing extremely critical automation, consumer touchpoints, process management. #India_RealTransformation

(2/3)AI/ML is changing the paradigm of prediction, recommendation, personalization etc. IOTs gaining efficiencies and providing the critical information for processes. #India_RealTransformation

(3/3)But a strong data management platform (Big-Data) is most critical stake holders here. This platform will capture and provide vital information to Bots, ML, IOTs etc to make them successful. #India_RealTransformation

) No single technology but the digital ecosystem of new technology & relevance to business strategy will be the game changer like SMAC impact a few years ago. #India_RealTransformation #CIO

What are the key things you look for in a vendor to support your real transformation goals?

(1/4) RPA (Robotic Process Automation) would have the maximum impact in coming years. #India_RealTransformation

(2/4) RPA is the use of software to automate business processes such as interpreting applications, processing transactions, dealing with data, and even replying to emails. RPA automates the manual repetitive tasks. #India_RealTransformation

(3/4) Forrester Research estimates RPA automation will threaten the livelihood of 230 million or more knowledge workers or approximately 9 percent of the global workforce. #India_RealTransformation

(4/4) It’s also important to note that RPA is also creating newer jobs while altering existing jobs. #India_RealTransformation

@Kath_Agrim CIO has to be modern hence should be adapting to the every change and situation and there is no substitute to business acumen.

@Kath_Agrim CIOs need to be tech visionary and so need to know be aware of current technology trends. So new skill sets are learned everyday.

@ishan_k1993 Vendors need to be domain experts and should ideally have global footprint.

@Kath_Agrim Ability to experiment is a must.

@ishan_k1993 be a partner and join the journey

(1/3) For a business to grow and remain competitive in today’s digital age, it has to adopt cutting-edge technologies. #India_RealTransformation #DellTechForum

(2/3) Right now, we need technology to know how we are performing, how we are adding to the revenue, and what are the long-term sustainability factors --- these together enables the business to accelerate towards digital transformation. #India_RealTransformation

(3/3) Emerging technologies that will pose as game changers in the future are Robotic Process Automation, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Analytics, IoT and Blockchain, to name a few. #India_RealTransformation #DellTechForum

(1/2) There is no single pointed answer to this question. Since technology adoption is varying by maturity of function and leader person heading it. #India_RealTransformation

(2/2) Most of the time is align with overall Business Strategy, except at few occasion technologies is leading the change charter. #India_RealTransformation

(1/3) It's subjective and depends on specific cases. In some cases, emerging technologies are disruptive, creating new business opportunities and so are driving the business strategies chatbots. #India_RealTransformation

: (1/2) The Digital strategy decides the technology and processes innovation drives the transformation to adopt relevant emerging technology. #India_RealTransformation #CIO @avelhal

(1/2) Digital Transformation is not a technology changeover. It brings radical changes on business process and customer touchpoints. #India_RealTransformation

@DellEMCIndia(2/3) While in some they are adopted when aligned with the overall business strategy for example a business going through cost reduction. #India_RealTransformation

(3/3) In many cases technologies which are providing seamless immersive experience with consumer relevant data which optimizes business decisions are adopted relatively faster. #India_RealTransformation

(2/2) So it can’t be led by CIOs. Though they are critical stakeholders. The digital transformation is an CEO agenda and the organization leadership team should drive this as a team. #India_RealTransformation

(2/2) Without a strong and relevant use case technology deployment serves no purpose. #India_RealTransformation #CIO

@mkhamkar Likely in legacy businesses, where tech first aligns and then pushes the business agenda/model forward. For born in the cloud companies, tech likely leads.

(1/3) Technology is no longer just an enabler. #India_RealTransformation #DellTechForum

As a modern CIO, how do you inculcate a business ecosystem that not only takes IT into consideration for transformation but also the workforce and security? @mkhamkar

(2/3) While alignment with overall business is important but emerging technologies enable better customer experience, provide anywhere anytime availability, ease the loan life cycle process, etc. #India_RealTransformation

Exactly

(3/3) Scalability, time to market, infra costs which were issues in legacy systems also get removed with newer technologies thus helping in better adoption in organizations and help the technology team in leading the change. #India_RealTransformation

@spalangala exactly

@ajay1511 Thats an interesting viewpoint. Don't you think the onus is on the technology leader (CIO/CTO/CDO) to show the possibilities?

Digital Transformation is just not a technology turnaround. It brings radical changes on business process & resource mindset

@VarunSen668 It has to be all inclusive to become REAL

(1/2) Technology is at the core of business strategy. Some of the emerging technologies that we deploy are collaborative tools like Finance, Accounts and Voice Automation with common document management; Robotic Process Automation etc. #India_RealTransformation

(2/2) We prepare small pilots and move them into production to see how we can get the operating cost less, while deploying emerging technologies. #India_RealTransformation #DellTechForum
