In general, we, at Dell Technologies, want to help our customers to navigate their digital future. We all know that’s not an easy task but the time is now to act for the future.

With the Digital Transformation Index, we are providing a benchmark for businesses around the globe measuring the state of digital transformation.

This is a new study and it's interesting to see the differences from 2 years ago, when it was first done.

yes, exactly. we know that emerging technologies are transforming the dynamic between man and machine and the way businesses operate. Some companies are faring better than others in this new era.

Janine, please tell us: How was this survey done and why did we do it?

Sure. We launched the first ever Dell Technologies Digital Transformation Index in 2016. Here nearly half (45%) of global business leaders were worried their businesses will become obsolete within just five years. Today, that threat still stands.

So two years later (2018), we asked business leaders again how they are doing on their digital journey, the barriers they face, and their plans to overcome those. We surveyed 4,600 business leaders across 42 countries.

@vGazza It is great develpment on C-Level. Tehy really relized, they have to do something about digitalisation. I like what they do and plan in my Country.

What's the HOT trend right now? I see a lot of talk about #AI and #machinelearning? Are we seeing that as a business trend?
