Q1: First, a current portrait: what technology has been the biggest winner in 2021?

Larry Lunetta
AI. Probably the cloud. Think of where we would be without Zoom and its equivalents. Pretty amazing that we could globally scale to remote work.

Sid Mistry
A1: AI has many use cases and is often used to support internal IT operations. Our 2021 State of AI report showed that 62% of organizations focused their AI efforts internally. This switch to practical applications shows that organizations are maturing.

James Maguire
@larry_lunetta To be sure, I'd even say #Cloud is the "winner" of the last decade

Ram Chakravarti
A1. Ubiquitous #AI, even though we are in the ANI, Artificial Narrow Intelligence era

Larry Lunetta
A1. Yes, but the edge and hybrid cloud are moving fast.

Kevin Coppins
A1. I have two answers - anything "work from home" - including hardware, software, video conferencing, desk chairs (yes - we all got new chairs) - 2, unfortunately, ransomware. Neither are sexy, both made headlines.

Bruce Kornfeld
A1 I'm going with GPUs. They are having a huge impact on what processing can be done for some new and very exciting use cases. Nvidia has been the biggest winner (obviously) in this space (sorry Intel).

James Maguire
@ktcoppins Ransomware! Ugh, you have a point!

James Maguire
@brucekornfeld Hardware is eating the world! :)

Bruce Kornfeld
yep! of course all the "fun" is in software - but those 1s and 0s need to run somewhere!

Larry Lunetta
A1. Take that A18H ;)

Bruce Kornfeld
@larry_lunetta Data created at the edge is actually growing much faster than cloud

James Maguire
@brucekornfeld @larry_lunetta The edge is eating the cloud, perhaps.

Larry Lunetta
@brucekornfeld A1. Absolutely agree and it will grow even faster with enhanced connectivity options like Wi Fi 6E.

Chris Ehrlich
Cloud for the win this year. Migrations continue as late adopters made moves in a larger remote economy.
