Innovation can happen spontaneously, can also be promoted with the right culture and infrastructure. This can happen on a large scale as in the pharmaceutical industry or in small continuous improvements

I personally believe we should have continuous learning and continual innovation as a practice “Learning gives creativity. Creativity leads to thinking”

In terms of innovation we should be very careful atleast for few years until we recover/learn from COVID19. Speed of innovation sometime led you to create Google Glasses. Create something more human centric instead shiny toys

Adapt DevOps as a mandatory process across organization to overcome the development automation challenges and bake in the compliance and security to devops will help increase the velocity as well as increase the efficiency of the team and brand.

DevOps would bring in enhanced visibility to the process.. Enhanced visibility will help in understanding the true value of the innovation

@vishnube Not sure about making DevOps mandatory. Still looking for self-organized teams and structures, uses evangelist to advocate, those who don't like it will move on

we should go more Evidence based understanding more unrealised value and actual values.. An empowered product can helps a lot

need to start tracking the feature utilization on the feature that is rolled out.Without tracking the utilization and keep investing on a feature that is dormant is a over head and loss the competition in the market. Need to move towards data driven feature development

@vishnube Need to use same standards as the 3 Horizons! Innovation should be supported by data, be prepared to throw out 50-70% of the new ideas you develop, keep a list in case they come back up when needs change

with pandemic, effective decision making has become challenge due to ppl working in remote , it leads to multiple meetings and it takes time to make a call.

• Collaboration we mainly focus on internal collaboration but ignore external collaboration. There is significant value in bringing industry partners, customers and even competitors to drive innovation

Before Pandemic, ppl were working in a one office or room where they can remove roadblocks over a coffee and it's not the case any more.

@vishnube Have to be willing to pick up the phone to resolve roadblocks. Teleworking problem is too many in the meeting not too few - exceeds the two pizza rule

@TinyCyber Yes directed innovation is however driven by business needs which are not linear. Think of the food industry challenges lately, or schooling for children etc. These needs are testing scalability of many solutions.

@WSzepesi Agreed, scalability is part of solution. Physical innovation talks back to physical constraints, lean manufacturing and the Andon cord. Schooling has had months to consider issues.
