How to pick the right "Analytics" strategy / solution for a Governmental Organization that very often access and process highly sensitive, personal data? @DXCTechnology
Dan Hushon
it still comes down to the same basics... what is the toolbox and where and how do you manage the information pools. the complexity is always in the unforeseen value of information composition... where A+B=C where C becomes differentially classed
Dragan
also must implement data security and data governance from the start and not as afterthought
Dan Hushon
I think that the work that @Immuta is doing on the #GDPR side provides some interesting techniques for managing the trust divide.
John Furrier
Immuta is doing some great things
John Furrier
I met the founding team at Immuta this week in NYC
Jerry Overton
What's the most powerful application of #AI you've seen so far?
Dragan
Robo Drive - self-driving car solution which includes object recognition, situation analysis, & drive strategy
Jerry Overton
@AnalyticsCTO Cool, an example of driving #AI to the edge. Along those lines, check out the latest from @xnor_ai: https://xnor.ai/

mesosphere nodes bouncing back for an attack from Chaosmonkey

@vittalmadurai Oh man, you gotta send me a link!

or a Chatbot, bring up a #kubernetes service based on a query
Martin Risau
Without talking about it in detail, intelligence and police are most sophisticated. Securing London Olympics couple of years ago, is a public reference.
Dan Hushon
I find some of the working being done in simultaneous linguistic translation (e.g. language learning) to be pretty amazing
Jerry Overton
Lately, I've been looking for applications of #AI to resiliency in digital systems-- an "anti-fragile" approach. Haven't found much, yet.
Jerry Overton
@DanHushon Do you see potential for increased productivity in administrative tasks?
Arin Dey
Siri or Alexa
Jerry Overton
@ArinDey Yeah, I find those impressive as well
Arin Dey
Actually the list would be big.. but I would like to add Tesla and Cogito as well :)
Jerry Overton
@ArinDey I'm very interested in the direction that realtime emotional intelligence might take.
Dan Hushon
I see personal assistants making huge strides, on your resiliency point, what can #AI to to identify white space in designs - things untested?
Jerry Overton
@DanHushon Good question. I'm thinking digital twin: simulation to explore a design space and find new possibilities

Looking at the professional development side of things...if anyone is looking to get into or develop their advanced analytics skills what do you recommend as far as skills/training, @analyticsCTO @danhushon and Martin Risau?
Martin Lee
It's a good read and make some good points, particularly about how long it takes to get to competent
Dan Hushon
Agree, but also the personality... scientific principles as the constitution to keep trying
Heather Simpson πŸŒˆπŸƒ
@danhushon and @analyticsCTO any specific development areas you'd recommend?
Ngoc Do
Are analytics being used in any DXC systems? How effective are they? Any plan to leverage analytics & AI to help DXC operations?
Chris Swan
Yep - Analytics is where we start in optimising our delivery http://blog.thestate...
Axel Szymanski
They are already used in many areas of operations of standard DXC services. too many to enumerate here - but think of support, monitoring, change management.
Dragan
long list across our OFs: security, BPS, Cloud, Apps are all implementing advanced analytics as part of their solutions. Also healthcare and insurance
vittal krishnasamy
Any opinions on Blockchain's vis-a-vis AI?
Axel Szymanski
two tools in your enablement toolbox. Can be used to instrument your intended change - based on the use case.
Dragan
My take is that Blockchain will be much more dominant on the data management side by enabling a secure sharing of data and transaction records
Martin Lee
Two very different technologies that are highly hyped right now, and which solve very different problems and are complementary, as blockchain is big data and AI can analyze that data.
Jerry Overton
I'm a fan of your research feed. Let me know if you come across something at the intersection of #blockchain + #AI
Dan Hushon
@DXCTechnology share your #AI or #CNN insights!
vittal krishnasamy
I would think, most successful products in I.T enterprise is driven by said and unsaid #AI. Its #AI that gives birth to create a product in a veritical.
Heather Simpson πŸŒˆπŸƒ
Can we do a little roll call here? Who's a #DXCTechTalk first-timer this go round? I know we've got to have at least 1 or 2 newbies...
Steve Hawkins
- Hi I am a Newbie
Axel Szymanski
yes, am here first time.

Thanks for joining!
Heather Simpson πŸŒˆπŸƒ
Nice, welcome Steve and Axel! What do you think?
Steve Hawkins
Interesting discussion but it can be confusing talking AI when AI is commonly Artificial Intelligence. @heatherswall
