The baseball card project/scavenger hunt concept needs to work both in-person and for virtual folks. I think that's what you and @jfurrier are saying. Maybe borrow ideas from #geocaching.

@JerryAOverton They sort of do...but I have to think about that and what you really mean. Many of Dan's include crowdchat & are featured in the Soundbites schedule. Expand that?

Can you lay out the general focus of this discussion? Is it CSC overall or TechCom or something else?

I think open forums like this--using open platforms like CrowdChat (Twitter) and G+--are good things to keep doing.

I want this discussion to be about CSC overall and possible new ideas with the company on a social level. So things like social media interaction or projects that need more light shown on them

With these platforms we have the widest possible reach, which extends to clients, partners, analysts and industry as well as employees. I think that's a good thing.

So one idea @Hayley_Smitty had was to issue some sort of challenge like the Ice Bucket Challenge--a do good/give back activity that goes viral & is fun.

What Social Media practices is CSC doing that's working effectively in the that needs to continue to be pushed forward

Yes @Hayley_Smitty and I are working on a digital space and charitable project called MakeTime that enables people to share what they're doing besides work to keep they're creativity or health flowing and challenge others to do the same as w

We can probably do more "on the scenes" reporting at events using Twitter, etc. @JerryAOverton did something like that at last week's #CSCAspire event. I originally got this idea from @stroker, who said to do it w/ #Google Glass or #OculusRift.

@JovHimself I like this idea. I'm assuming that the types of things that people talk about would somehow tie back to how this helps CSC, makes them a better employee, etc. etc.?

Tweeting during the #ASPIRE conference made me feel like I was co-creating the experience. Really engaging.

I think in general there should be more of a company push to use Twitter. Still seems underused or unfamiliar by many. Just my view. (And not that I'm a super user!)

I feel as though people may be afraid no one wants to hear what they have to say or cares but a platform and conversation like this proves otherwise

Agreed. I'd also like CSC take a proactive approach to marketing/promoting their employees. i.e. Link to their external blogs, talk about their achievements inside/outside company, etc.

@JovHimself I think that's a real point. It's about behavior change and just getting started.

@shartlen Absolutely. I'd like to see #SocialAnalytics used to help @CSC do targeted promotion of #SocialBusiness content.

@shartlen Further ideas on that? Like, promote CSCers on csc.com for public recognition? Or internally in C3? Both? Or via meaty things like compensation and benefits?!?

All of the above. Lots of employees are doing great things (blogging, volunteer work, community involvement, etc.) that should be recognized, supported, promoted. $$ wouldn't hurt either ;-)

@shartlen Ingenious Minds (www.csc.com/ingeniou...) has made inroads into linking to external blogs and LinkIn profiles. We are doing it internally in the Technology space on C3 where it makes sense.

Yup, it's a good start and I love Ingenious Minds. But there are lots of other people doing great things inside and outside the company who deserve the spotlight too.

@shartlen I agree. Personally, I'd like to see more @CSC participants in Crowdchat forums like these.

group conversations with some organized themes works great

bridging phyical and virtual space is very relevant now bc content event are happing in the crowd

Dave & I are working on a digital experience hub with video, blogs, and crowdsourced commentary. Question what would be the ideal specs for an engaging app

@furrier I'd like to support some model that combines the interactivity of Crowdchat with an informal physical presences as well: Crowdchat + Meetup

we see more interaction from the realtime folks at the events curating and spinning DJ to the crowd not there. Virtual is a venue and connecting that crowd to relevance is key

yes and we need them occasionally as a big splash like the Ideathon we did last March. Lots of buildup, countdown, ready-set-go to heat up the excitement

Couldn't agree more; to a larger point we need to put more emphasis on tech community i.e. developers, architects, engineerings, etc.

@artimusmax is referring to Identity Jam. Agree always need better ways to push outward and to browse/keep up with events.
