Providers don't like investing in new IT. They don't trust it to give them all the right data, & they are much more interested in pending on medical tech like imaging.

Frankly, IT doesn't always have the credibility w/ LOB. Hence resistance in investing.

@BertLatamore Medical also has a lot of thinking to do about big data processing and pooling especially because security and privacy are a massive issue. Regulatory and policy coordination is an obstacle I constantly hear about.

@furrier Traditional thinking on #IT has yet to be significantly impacted by industry changes. It's a monopoly that needs to be broken up. Big business needs to figure how to distribute responsibilities and have them market back to each other.

@jpmorgenthal agree and the notion of using sw to "eat IT" is theme I love bc a new generation is about to take over
