Microsoft

Discuss Microsoft New CEO
"On the Record" CrowdChat to discuss the new CEO Satya Nadella starts at 9am to 3pm pst.
John Furrier
@setdeep The candidates for CEO were accurately reported the frontrunners were laid out I just reported the data we verified. The outcome was still in the air. We knew like everyone the Satya pick but there was zero narrative on relevant outsiders
John Furrier
Deepak here is the data that I reported on youtube.
Crowd Captain Sundar was a crowd favorite both he and Satya big fav in tech fan base
John Furrier
The crowd and tech fan base wanted to see two kinds of candidates 1) Satya very strong see our interview on @theCube below 2) outsider who can bring product excellence we see at Google; Microsoft picked correct imho; Gates mentoring proves my narrative
Michael Keen
IMO I think there are probably a metric ton of innovations just sitting inside #MSFT, but the lack of intrapreneurship and risk-taking to bring them out is a critical aspect to success.
John Furrier
Here is why #msft $msft went with Satya Nadella vs other candidates. He's has his hands on the pulse
John Furrier
Msft Chairman of the Board John Thompson & @satyanadella both @theCUBE alumni https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9W2Z8HzQ2R8
Michael Keen
As @furrier stated earlier, it's time to stop rearranging the deck chairs and get on with things. Very interested to see Nadella's leadership style and how this will impact execution.
Tim Crawford
Downside is he has been w/ $MSFT for quite a long time. Hope he can indeed affect change and quickly. He also needs to put MSFTs warchest to good use and quickly.
Michael Keen absotely agree with that Tim, being a 20yr veteran is driving concern for active change and a new mindset.
