I learn from my participants when they come to my sessions and share their experience. I have seen many of the companies today asking me for "Good" DevOps resources and what I get is by "Good" they mean not only tools skills but process skills and other soft skills
Jayne Groll
Given the current situation, now is a great time to focus on continuous learning.
Romnick Acabado
My top learning resources right now are DevOps institute SKIL Up section. I value the learning minutes, the blogs of Global DevOps ambassadors, and the materials that are uploaded. I also recommend the media.com platform, Udemy, and of course, Google

In today's COVID-19 scenario, there is an explosion of interest in "learning from home." Sites like Udemy, Coursera, Udacity and Lynda all have good courseware but you can also find great learning content given away for free from universities.
Brendan O'Reilly
@JayneGroll will there sbe recordedd?
Jayne Groll
If you have never attended a live instructor led virtual training class, give it a try! With virtual technologies, the experience comes close to an in-person session and you feel connected with your instructor and classmates.

Hello Peeps! Don't have much time today, going into meetings, but wanted to check in! :)

Hi Jayne, Suresh, Brendan...
DevOps Institute
What was your main takeaway from the Upskilling 2020 report?
Dheeraj Nayal - Organizer of Global SKILup DayπŸ¦Έβ€β™‚
#HybridHumans is the need of digital acceleration and successful adoption !!
Dheeraj Nayal - Organizer of Global SKILup DayπŸ¦Έβ€β™‚
E-shaped Hybrid Humans and professionals are now a REALITY !!
Brendan O'Reilly
the shortage of skilled engineers
Jayne Groll
For two years in a row, there is a clear indication across all levels that "human" (soft) skills are equally important to automation and process skills. Culture counts!
Sam Fell
I was interested to see how much importance CI/CD tooling had. More than cloud this year! Apparently "getting things shipped" is more important than "where it is being shipped to" at the moment.
NRDevOpsMY
1) DevOps transformation journey is still very difficult for more than 50%.
2) Finding and attracting skilled people continues to be a challenge in 2020.
jorn does not currently have covid
The landscape is fluid, and so too must be our learning. Keep Learning! :)
Donna Knapp
It's nice to see the focus moving beyond the technology to understanding the process and people improvements needed to use the technology effectively.
Martyn Coupland
the shortage of skilled engineers is a real shock, especially given the amount of people you see on LinkedIn with DevOps in their title
Xellentro Consulting
My main takeaway was to see that the Process Skills and Knowledge to be of more importance.
Romnick Acabado
Hybrid model of humans and the change from "soft" skills to "human" skills! E-shaped professionals can be developed and must be retained. ;)
Suresh GP, MBRM
1. E-Shaped DevOps Human (experience and expertise, explora- tion and execution.)
2. Collaboration and cooperation is still the top must-have human skill.
3. DevOps adoption, Agile and SRE have all gained in their percentage for must-have skills.
Garima Bajpai
DevOps, Agile and SRE are #bestbuddies
Brendan O'Reilly
@mrcoups there are many CV's with the word DevOps in there but its the only a word!
jorn does not currently have covid
@samueldfell TouchΓ©. Maybe that inflection point of the infra getting commoditized is showing up here in the "skills I want need" space. :)
Manny Varela
A shout-out to the E-Shape as well.

Garima Bajpai
Leaving no-one behind
Dheeraj Nayal - Organizer of Global SKILup DayπŸ¦Έβ€β™‚
#Upskilling is essential to align with the fast paced digital world !!
Helen Beal 🐝
Because we all want to be better people and want our organizations to deliver better products and services and in order to improve, we first need to learn.
Jayne Groll
Humans will drive transformation not the other way around.
Garima Bajpai
#Upskilling is important to be part of the great collective DevOps journey
Sam Fell
Continuous improvement across technology only works if you have humans trained on how to leverage it. We have to continuously improve our most precious resources - ourselves!
Xellentro Consulting
DevOps is about Continuous Learning. Upskilling and Cross-skilling is most important
Donna Knapp
#Upskilling is an effective way for companies to prepare their employees for the future and honor their efforts in the past.
Dheeraj Nayal - Organizer of Global SKILup DayπŸ¦Έβ€β™‚
#Upskilling makes the humans to UP their SKILLS while enhancing their Knowledge, Ideas, Learning (3SKILup)
Romnick Acabado
Upskilling in IT is very crucial to have a successful digital transformation. This is same with investing for technologies and finding the best practices for an organization.

Upskilling remains extremely relevant as IT roles become overlapping and increasingly granular. I've seen a steady uptick in role-based DevSecOps/Cybersecurity upskilling from the cyber side.
