Community building is huge! Great question Rose!

Love every community that is open but not closed and bridge the gap between humans acquiring new skills, knowledge, ideas, learning !!

I feel like it's one big global community and you can dip in and out of things like this or AllDayDevOps or DevOps Days or DevOps Enterprise Summit or Slack channels or just reach out direct on LinkedIn to people

This kind of community inside the company engaging for learning and sharing is powerful, cause people, teams, areas can learn so much with each other experiences and perspectives...I have seen it working beautifully

We are humans and socially wired - we are only successful if the people around us are successful - we should all be paying it forward!

The communities are created with common interest. But also bridging the gap between humans and communities will break silos and create a holistic community both ways !!

The new ways of working hinges on collaboration. We cannot collaborate without a community, right? We are richer when we share our knowledge with out peers and communities of interest.

I will advice him to go to NewOps Days. It will be really interesting for him/her to view the new ways of working.

Upskill through new technologies and processes! There are plenty of people and resources out there (for free or for sale) that can help you learn what is possible and how to use the experience you do have for new opportunities!

Need to learn, need to grow, need to move forward .. we all have to change, the how & the when is for us to decide

Would it just have a different name? Would it all be about SRE? Or agile at scale?

Or it would be an Advanced Software engineering or full stack engineering !!

The technological advances that support a global society would not have accelerated as fast as they have.

1) Release the pressure! Make the work visible and control the flow 2) Give them autonomy - distribute authority and empower them 3) Give them master - let them take time to learn 4) Help them discover their purpose and align it

Sometimes the basic gives the best solution. Creating a healthy competitive friendship within Team, get them going even in crisis. This is both personal and professional.

show the team how key their work is in the overall deliverable … ownership & being part of something that is great is a key motivator

great question! By enabling everyone to enjoy their work and have no limits on getting the work done easily and effectively. The creation of high performance is through culture and understanding!

by keeping the focus on learning every single day. If the #1 goal is how to improve, the journey takes a life of its own and you reach places you never intended or thought possible!

Great question. Humans are often motivated in different ways than leaders may think. Carving out to time during the day to learn is important. Recognition is important too.

They love having the autonomy to choose the tool they want to use, play and see what they can do. So, give them a sandpit.....
