Global SKILup Day
Reading books from domain experts, attending conferences to learn new developments
Rose Dyson
The quickest way for me is via white papers, case studies or blogs from community spaces like the DevOps Institute web site.
Helen Beal
What are our top books for improving ways of working? My current fave is Team Topologies
Dheeraj Nayal - Organizer of Global SKILup Day🦸‍♂
Accessing new skills is very personal - it has to be individually drafted and acquired. Humans of #DevOps love it !!
Sanjeev Kumar
YouTube is very good … you can get training on there
Rose Dyson
Audible has been very valuable as most relevant books there now. I can hear the audio book in the car or commuting
Jayne Groll
Human learning happens in so many ways from the classroom to the one to one interaction of the human knowledge sharing and everything in between.
Helen Beal
Where do you go for DevOps case stories?
Jayne Groll
Learning has to be continuous
Rose Dyson
Face to face training is still the most effective to learn the foundation skills, then supplement it through other ways, such as reading, etc...
Sanjeev Kumar
you need to compliment the training with practical experience as well ... this can be tough when trying to establish yourself
Helen Beal
How would you recommend people find themselves practical experience Sanjeev?
Suresh GP, MBRM
DOES is a great resource for me @helenranger4
Sanjeev Kumar
that is the hardest part …. many ppl dont want to help ... in my journey i even offered to volunteer .... my first break was given by IBM who thought i had something in me they could trust
