We need to change the governance, service management and service delivery processes

Enterprise Clients needs to change provider management processes. The change across the enterprise will be driven

The entire IT architecture process needs to be enhanced.

by creating a master data lake to model change and drive targetting change in the all the process identified above

If the services are wrong from the beginning (wrong strategy, wrong technology, wrong economics) than the service management will always be wrong, too expensive, not productive, etc. The tail begins to wag the dog !!

too much focus on the technology and not on people and process

technology is only one aspect, it must also align with strategy and economics or it will fail. Without real-time data, none of them will match up

what I hear is that economics is the biggest driver for a move to cloud

economics can be completely off if you pick the wrong strategy or choose the wrong technology

What lowers the barrier of entry? Data, optimal design, cost, understanding of what is available in the global market?

- #cloud reaches beyond technology, it's brought about an entirely new approach to how we solve business challenges across the entire spectrum ..

- #cloud allows us to dramatically reduce Time To Value, Cost, Time to Market, Risk ... so many upsides became possible with the introduction of #cloud computing...

- #cloud is also an instant levelling of the playing field, everyone has access to the SAME capabilities at the SAME cost / speed / shape / size / form ;-)

Not sure on that Dez. We have seen same instance types from same provider perform 700% differently which dramatically shifts price:performance metrics.

That kind of shift can affect strategy and provider choices when you look at trends over time
