@JeffFrick while bigger, faster and cheaper is always of interest, I'd ask Larry how Oracle can help make the decisions about where to put #bigdata smarter and more autonomous

Having an integrated compute, storage, and virtualization environment fully baked would be a competitive advantage

When I interviewed Workman Oracle sort of danced around the dedicated All Flash Array discussion - they have't as of yet participated in that space directly

probably not true in terms of mind share, certainly not the "sexiness" aspect.

I always question closed systems always have (vs open); the issue is "where is the hard top" bc customers want functionality while avoiding lock in

larry often refers to Oracle, when he means Oracle Database ... but then no-one would suggest Apple is an open system! ;-)

Data center costs are growing. The future is compact and inexpensive hardware and software combines

azure/aws all going strong. also need to invest in the "next Google" too.

Howie: I am seeing Azure all over my analytics in terms of actual conversations with customers/experts; AWS dominates bc they are leaders in #publiccloud
