Technology know-how is spreading rapidly into end user divisions. Centralized security models that ignore this reality are business failures and create angst, expense, and poor delivery results.

Centralized security must become more open to this reality and CSO's must find ways to be more inclusive. It will require stronger and broader governance mechanisms and CSOs that have a deep understanding of and respect for end user needs.
