I agree he has a huge task ahead of him; what to do first? they need to win the enterprise and make sure a self directed xBox GM runs that well. xBox is the future imo in consumer

Michael Keen I would agree wholeheartedly on the consumer side. The enterprise will come down to getting out of the building and visiting customers. Not just Fortune 50, but the SMB and get back in touch

Steve Jobs was the ultimate insider at Apple and Satya is proud indian exec with the "godfather" in Gates getting back in the game imo; I think that Gates is loving it bc he can play with out BS overhead; Gates is geek remember

Co-opting @BillGates as an adviser is a very smart and stretegic move by Nadella

Having the visible backing of Gates and access to his wisdom is definitely a plus

Nadella then need to make a call about what he uses and what he filters out.

Nadella needs to understand that "what got you here may kill you there". Transformation doesn't just happen by declaring a change; it is necessary to dig deep into the roots of the company.

Gates is the wild card if Nadella can get a resource to assist him in herding the cats and killing turf wars; then the five families internally can get back to running the neighborhood

Having been in the company for 22 years, Nadella knows the roots. lol he may be one of the "roots" itself
