I see the appeal to those heavily invested in SAP's vision. As I've ventured outside of the SAP-centric bubble, there's resistance to hitching Analytics and Big Data to SAP. The Apple SDK helps to normalize the brand beyond hardcore-SAP customers.

The value of SAP data drives the appeal of using SAP Cloud Platform. SAP is the center of gravity for many enterprise processes. Leveraging SAP Cloud while keeping transaction and system calls within SLA creates opportunities for infra partners.

it's really difficult to balance the benefits of SAP Cloud Platform for mobile without hurting your legacy processes. There's opportunity for the ecosystem to help with refactoring processes and apps. More of the same hybrid-cloud challenges.

No arguments from me. I think the risk that many enterprises are concerned about is testing for scale at the points SAP Cloud touches legacy. It's hard to factor the breaking points during Dev & Test.

Net new apps & data don't have the problem of integration concerns. Move fast and fail fast makes sense. But when you want to reach back and touch legacy. Culture clash is a killer of innovation.

Enterprise SAP teams are especially sensitive to fast app development. There's been a gradual change but I think it's still a considerable challenge in regulated industries.
