@bpatrick001 Wikibon will have Private Cloud forecasts out soon. Curious how HPE measures Private Cloud (what elements).

For every $1 of AWS profit growth over the past two years, HP's combined profits declined by ~$0.40.

HPE will no doubt do some M&A to address hybrid cloud demand in areas such as SDDC & hyperconvergence.

@rgruia if you've seen HPE Synergy - it is their answer for SDDC and in their words goes "beyond hyperconvergence". I don't expect a large acquisition in this space from HPE.

SDDC will be key. But one thing I like from HPE is that it is trying to cover all angles. Even for hyperscale cloud providers.

The Cloudline servers,developed w/ Foxconn, marry the HPE innovation w/ Foxconn's low cost manufacturing...

Cloudine will be cost-competitive w/ ODMs like Quanta, which won server contracts from FB, AMZN & RAX

when @bpatrick001 says "74% of new apps will be on private cloud", did we get any breakdown on types of new apps? is this existing app portfolio or net-new apps?
