Ariana Gradow
Great thanks for being here.
Martha Perry
Is there a way customers can understand their expected capacity savings?
James Cordes
there are at least two ways to study capacity. One is estimations, the other is analysis based on our MiTrend tool
Martha Perry
Thanks @JFcordes! And the way for customers to get access to a MiTrend report for their environment is to request this analysis from their EMC account team, correct?
James Cordes
yes, that's right. Any EMC Partner can assist as well.
Trond Sundem
Back to the math : So you can reduce the primary DB 3.75:1 and then if you had 3 additional DAG copies they would consume zero space - right ?
Bryan Walsh
They would not initially take up any additional physical capacity. Correct.
Bryan Walsh
Some variance would happen over time but the reduction would still be a high %.
Martha Perry
For the next hour Jim and Bryan will be hosting a webinar. If you haven’t already joined, it’s not too late! You can join us here: http://bit.ly/1h1z13...
John Furrier
Is there a video link
Martha Perry
Yes @furrier you can join the webinar using this link http://bit.ly/1h1z13...
Martha Perry
One of the questions we got through the webex is: is the data reduction any different between versions of Exchange?
Bryan Walsh
Yes, slightly. We have noticed slightly more reduction for 2013 over 2010.
Martha Perry
Thank you to all who attended our Exchange on XtremIO webinar. Jim and Bryan are now available to answer questions.
